Challenge

Adapt TeleHealth approached HarrisLOGIC about building the infrastructure to support its telehealth business. The challenge was to create telepresence systems that yielded quality and affordable video conference sessions between doctors and patients.

Solution

HarrisLOGIC has researched and tested telepresence systems and Internet transmission technologies. The quality of the video and audio reproduction varies with the type and speed of Internet connection, and with the quality and features of codecs built into telepresence systems. We have identified the optimal conditions under which quality video conferencing occurs and implemented telepresence systems that reduce latency and interruptions in transmissions. We implemented the telehealth infrastructure with high-resolution video conference cameras that preserve the subtlety of doctor and patient interactions. We use exclusively encrypted and HIPAA compliant transmissions.

HarrisLOGIC provided Adapt TeleHealth with end-to-end infrastructure design and implementation, providing both psychiatrists and behavioral health clinics with infrastructure setups, including telecommunications links, firewall configurations and video conference camera installations.
