The Behavioral Health Authority for the Dallas Metro Area, tasked HL with developing a model to provide hotline and mobile crisis response services to the 4th largest city in America, servicing almost 4 million residents spread across more than 5,500 square miles. A major component of these services revolves around responding to mental health crises in education-based settings.
HL developed a technology-enabled solution that was easy-to-use and empowered clinicians with evidence-based assessment and intervention tools. The SCRP’s decision support tools enable efficient and effective level of care determinations, so that patients can be treated in the least restrictive setting. Once a crisis has been resolved, the SCRP drives continuity of care, warm handoffs, and automates student and family follow ups.
Implementing the SCRP promotes expanded capacity and improved efficiency and effectiveness of existing behavioral health resources via integration and built-in best practices.
